Garages
Garage epoxy flooring
Full flake broadcast and solid-colour finishes over mechanically prepared concrete. The most common job we do.
Where we work
Floor Candy primarily services Forster, Taree, Harrington, Blueys Beach and surrounding Mid North Coast communities. Selected projects are also accepted across Newcastle, Maitland and Sydney.
Floor Candy is a mobile business — we bring the equipment to your property. There is no public showroom to visit.
Primary service areas
These are the towns we are in most often. An on-site assessment here can usually be arranged without much notice, and the travel does not change what the job costs.
Forster
Garages, driveways, alfresco slabs and interior concrete. A large share of the housing here is single-storey brick with an attached double garage — the slab is usually sound, and the work is mostly about removing the weak surface layer and whatever has soaked into it.
Taree
Garages, driveways, sheds and workshop floors. Rural and semi-rural properties mean more large shed slabs, more machinery traffic, and more floors that have had something spilled on them — all of which we look at before specifying a system.
Harrington
Coastal garages, patios and paths. Anything within reach of salt air and wind-driven rain gets assessed for moisture and for how much direct sun the surface takes, because both change what should go on it.
Blueys Beach
Holiday-home garages and outdoor concrete. Houses that sit empty between stays behave differently to lived-in ones — slabs stay damp for longer, and the floor has to tolerate being hosed down and left.
Surrounding Mid North Coast
Tuncurry, Pacific Palms, Old Bar, Wingham, Hallidays Point and the towns and villages around them. If you are somewhere nearby that is not listed, ask — it is very likely we cover it.
Projects further afield
We take on selected projects outside the Mid North Coast. It is not a blanket no, and it is not a blanket yes.
Travelling means the equipment, the materials and the crew all move for the duration of the job, so whether we can do it comes down to the size of the floor and when it needs to happen. Larger single-site jobs travel well. A small one-off usually does not, and we would rather say so than quote a number that only works for us.
If you are in Newcastle, Maitland or Sydney, call or send the details through. We will tell you honestly whether it is something we can take on, and if it is not, we will say that rather than string it out.
What we look at before agreeing to travel
For projects outside the Mid North Coast we usually start with photos and measurements over the phone, then arrange the on-site assessment once it is clear the job is a fit.
What we do
Garages
Full flake broadcast and solid-colour finishes over mechanically prepared concrete. The most common job we do.
Outdoors
Driveways, paths, patios and alfresco slabs. Exterior work is specified for sun and weather exposure, which is a different problem to an enclosed garage.
Preparation
Diamond grinding with industrial dust extraction, and repair of cracks and damaged areas where appropriate. It is most of the labour on every job.
Coverage questions
Not within the primary Mid North Coast area — Forster, Taree, Harrington, Blueys Beach and the towns around them. Travel there is part of how we work, not a line item.
For work further afield, travel is taken into account when the job is quoted, and you will see the whole figure in writing before you commit to anything.
In the primary service area an assessment can usually be arranged quickly, because we are already working nearby most weeks. Call and we will give you an actual day rather than a vague window.
Outside that area it depends on what else is scheduled in that direction, so we will start with photos and measurements before anyone drives anywhere.
It changes what we check. Salt air, wind-driven rain and long damp spells all matter to how a coating bonds and how it wears, and an exposed exterior slab takes far more UV than a floor inside a closed garage.
That is assessed on site rather than assumed. The condition of your particular slab decides the preparation and the system, not the postcode on its own.
No, but it is worth mentioning at the assessment. A slab in a house that sits closed up behaves differently to one in a home that is lived in, and how the space is ventilated and used feeds into what we recommend.
Yes. The lists here are where we work regularly, not a fence. If the job is a reasonable size and the timing works, it is worth a phone call — the worst outcome is an honest no.
