What a garage floor has to survive
A garage slab takes more abuse than almost any other floor in a house. Hot tyres sit on it, oil and fuel land on it, things get dropped on it, and it is usually the least sealed concrete on the property — so it holds dust and stains.
A coating fixes all of that, but only if it stays stuck down. Tyre pickup, peeling and lifting are almost always a preparation problem, not a product problem.
What we will want to see
At the quote we look at what the slab is actually doing: whether there is an existing coating or sealer, whether there are cracks and how they are moving, whether there is any sign of moisture coming through, and how you use the space. A garage that stores a boat and a workbench is a different job to one that parks two cars.
Epoxy floors don’t fail.
Poor preparation does.
The coating is the visible layer. What decides whether it lasts is the slab underneath it — whether it was sealed, dusty, already coated, or moving moisture. Preparing it mechanically is how a system gets something real to bond to.

How much is a double garage?
Double garage floors start from approximately $2,450. Final pricing depends on floor size, existing condition, preparation requirements, finish and location.
Do I need to empty the garage?
Yes. The floor needs to be completely clear — vehicles, shelving, anything standing on the slab. We will tell you at the quote how much time to allow.
Can you coat over an existing epoxy or paint?
Sometimes, and sometimes the existing coating has to come off first. It depends on what is on there and how well it is stuck down. That is one of the things we check on site before quoting.
