When solid colour is the right call
Solid colour suits spaces where you want the floor to read as one clean surface — an alfresco slab, a laundry, a shed you want to feel finished rather than industrial.
It is worth being straight about the trade-off: a solid colour shows dust, marks and any variation in the slab more than a flake floor does. If the space is a working garage, flake is usually the better choice, and we will say so.

Poor preparation does.
The coating is the visible layer. What decides whether it lasts is the slab underneath it — whether it was sealed, dusty, already coated, or moving moisture. Preparing it mechanically is how a system gets something real to bond to.

Solid colour or flake?
Flake hides ordinary marks and gives more grip; solid colour looks cleaner and more uniform but shows more. For a working garage we usually suggest flake. For an alfresco or a laundry, solid colour often reads better.
