Coastal concrete has a harder time
Outdoor slabs on this coast deal with salt air, hard sun and heavy rain in the same year. Untreated concrete is porous, so it takes up water and whatever is dissolved in it, and that is what produces the staining and surface breakdown people usually call us about.
Sealing closes the surface. It also makes the slab far easier to wash down, which matters more than most people expect on a driveway under trees.
Grip matters more outside
An outdoor surface gets wet, so finish and texture are a safety decision rather than a style one. We will talk through it on site — a pool surround, a steep driveway and a covered alfresco are three different problems.
Epoxy floors don’t fail.
Poor preparation does.
The coating is the visible layer. What decides whether it lasts is the slab underneath it — whether it was sealed, dusty, already coated, or moving moisture. Preparing it mechanically is how a system gets something real to bond to.

About outdoor epoxy flooring
Will sealing stop my driveway cracking?
No. Sealing protects the surface; it does not change what the slab is doing structurally. Existing cracks are repaired where appropriate during preparation, and we will tell you honestly which ones will still be visible.
Can you do pool surrounds and patios?
Yes — those are outdoor concrete like any other, though grip and finish need more thought. Send photos and we will tell you whether it suits.
