What a flake floor actually is
A flake floor is built in layers. The coating goes down, decorative flake is broadcast into it while it is still wet, and a clear topcoat seals everything in. The flake is what gives the floor its depth and its texture underfoot — it is not a pattern printed on the surface, it is suspended in the floor itself.
It is the most popular choice for garages because it hides the ordinary marks a working garage collects, gives grip underfoot, and does not show every speck of dust the way a plain colour does.
Choosing a colour and blend
Flake comes in blends rather than single colours — greys, creams, tans and mixes of them. We will bring what we have to the on-site quote so you can look at the options against your own walls and light, which is the only way to judge it properly. Photographs of floors on a screen are not a reliable guide.
Where the result is actually decided
The visible part of a flake floor takes hours. What decides whether it is still there in ten years is the preparation underneath it, and that happens before any coating comes out of the tin. We will not quote a flake floor without looking at the slab first.

The coating is the visible layer. What decides whether it lasts is the slab underneath it — whether it was sealed, dusty, already coated, or moving moisture. Preparing it mechanically is how a system gets something real to bond to.

About premium flake flooring
Is a flake floor slippery?
The flake gives the surface texture, which helps underfoot compared with a smooth gloss finish. Any floor is more slippery wet than dry. Tell us how the space is used at the quote and we will talk through the finish that suits it.
Can I pick the flake colour?
Yes. Flake comes in blends, and we bring the options to the on-site quote so you can see them in your own space rather than on a screen.
Will it hide marks in the concrete?
A flake floor is much better at disguising ordinary variation in a slab than a solid colour is. It does not make structural problems disappear — cracks and damage are dealt with during preparation, and we will tell you at the quote what can be repaired and what will still be visible.
