1. Have you seen the floor?
The single most useful question. A price given without anyone standing on the slab is an estimate wearing a quote's clothing, and the difference shows up as a variation once work starts.
2. What preparation is included?
Listen for something specific about your floor rather than a general description of how coatings work. Preparation is where the money and the outcome both sit.
3. What happens if you find an existing coating?
Plenty of slabs have had something on them. The answer should already exist before the job starts, not be discovered on the day and priced as an extra.
4. What happens if you find moisture?
Moisture moving through a slab will defeat a coating regardless of how good the product is. A quoter who has not considered it has not finished looking at your floor.
5. Is the price fixed?
Ask directly, and ask what would change it. A fixed written price is a commitment; a starting price is a conversation.
6. What will still be visible when it is finished?
Cracks are repaired where appropriate, but a repair does not undo what the slab is doing structurally and some remain visible. You want that conversation before the job, not after.
7. Who is actually doing the work?
Worth asking of anyone, including us. We are owner-led and Jarrod is on the tools; we also use subcontractors on some jobs, and we would rather tell you that than promise something we cannot always guarantee.
